Previous Tokay Geckos

I expanded to Tokay geckos (Gekko gecko) as of Feb/2005, but due to the untimely loss of my female Tokay, Silver, and now the loss of my Tokay male, Striker, I have decided to cancel any plans to breed this species for the time being.

Here's Striker, my male Tokay gecko
Striker passed away Mar 9, 2006.

His weight as of Sept 19, 2005 is 141 grams. His weight as of July 23, 2005 was 129 grams.
A very big boy indeed, Still growing! DIALUP WARNING: (2nd 3rd & 4th picture)

This is Silver: my female Tokay gecko. She passed away July 23, 2005 of unknown reasons, but egg bound is most likely cause.

She will be missed.

The pictures below are some I found online, a very nice and healthy specimen.

Tokay at the Hoglezoo     Tokay at the Hoglezoo close-up

Here is a close-up picture of a Tokays foot pads. This is Strikers feet. Tokays are an aboreal specie, and they can climb glass with ease. Their feet actually have extremely fine hairs, (humans cannot even come close to duplicating it!) that can grip even the imperfections in any surface, even glass!
